Here are some telltale signs…

  1. Your water takes forever to heat up or you’ve prematurely had to replace water-using appliances.
  2. Your faucets and fixtures have a white residue that’s hard to reduce. That’s limescale buildup and it’s accumulating in your pipes and water using appliances too!
  3. Your skin and hair is dry and dull
  4. Your whites are more like 50 shades of gray
  5. Your brights have lost their luster
  6. Your drinking glasses & stemware have spots on them – unless you use a ton of chemical spot reducer in the dishwasher

I'm drinking and drinking water now and didn't even realize I wasnt before. Its great...

Peninsula Water Conditioning, Co. truly exceeds all expectations! Their exceptional service and responsiveness set them apart from the competition. Recently, I contacted them for a delivery of 12 bags of salt, and they not only delivered promptly but also stacked them neatly inside my garage. The small cost difference compared to purchasing from a big box store was well worth the convenience and quality service provided by PWC. For all your water conditioning needs, Peninsula Water Conditioning, Co. is the only choice you should consider!!Thom Gulyas - Berlin, MD
I highly recommend them . They worked with us until our water system was 100% right . We don’t have the easiest water to work with but they made it right and made sure we were 100% satisfied!!! Means a lot now a days and I would back them up in a heart beat !! Thank you guys for working with us !!!!! 5 stars plus !!!!
I cannot say enough about this company. From our first call to request a check on our old system and to see if we need a new one, the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. Within a day or two we were contacted by Bill and scheduled his visit. A new system was decided upon since ours was so old and the iron level still moderately high. Again we were contacted later that day and set up installation the following week. The installers were polite and excellent at their job. In no time we had it installed with excellent water (no iron). One of the best experiences we have had with contractors in this area.

Hellenbrand Systems Softener. Our softeners are WQA certified and have NSF/ANSI Standard 44 certified components.

How does a water softener work?

4100A water softener works by swapping calcium & magnesium ions with sodium ions. The swap eliminates hard water problems because sodium doesn’t leak out into pipes. The ion swap takes place within a compartment full of small resin beads. The negatively charged beads are bonded to positively charged sodium ions. As the water flows past the beads, the sodium ions swap places with the calcium and magnesium ions, which carry a stronger positive charge. Over several cycles, the calcium and magnesium replace all of the sodium in the beads, rendering the unit no longer ineffective. Water softener salt to the rescue! The softener enters a regeneration cycle during which it soaks the beads in a strong solution of water and salt. The sodium in the brine solution causes the calcium and magnesium ions in the beads to give way, and the beads are recharged with sodium. After regeneration, the water softener flushes the remaining brine, plus all of the calcium and magnesium, through a drainpipe.
